Vickie Cochran Obituary, Death Cause – Vickie Cochran, who was 56 years old and a native of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center on May 7, 2023. On Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m., the family will host a visitation at the Vance Brooks Funeral Home, which is located at 3738 US Hwy 431N in Phenix City, Alabama. At a later time, the family will hold private rites in memory of the deceased. Mrs. Cochran was born on November 19, 1966 in the city of Columbus, Georgia. Her parents, the late Terry Reddish and Georgia Ruth Rogers Reddish, predeceased her.
In 1984, she received her diploma from Central High School, and in subsequent years, she attended Columbus Technical College and earned an associate’s degree in respiratory therapy. After obtaining her certification, she started working as a Respiratory Therapist for almost 15 years at Columbus Specialty Hospital, where she was responsible for providing care to a variety of patients from the Chattahoochee Valley region. Mrs. Cochran enjoyed going on vacation to both the mountains and the beach, as well as fishing, decorating her home for the many holidays, and watching television shows on cooking, reality television, and classic films.
Nevertheless, spending quality time with her grandchildren was her most favorite thing to do in the world. The family remembers her as a lady who was always loving and generous, both in her personal life and in the workplace. Mrs. Cochran is survived by her husband of over 31 years, Ben Cochran Jr. of Phenix City; one daughter, Brook Kiker and her husband Kasey of Smiths Station, Alabama; her son, Ben “Bubba” Cochran III and his wife Hanna of Phenix City; one sister, Ginger Matthews and her husband Kevin of Cataula, Georgia; two grandchildren, Luke Kiker and Beau Kiker; two nieces, Crystal Matthews and Erin Graham and her husband Jake; many other relatives and friends.
