I’m sorry to have to be the one to break the news. It is with a heavy heart that I have to break the news that I need to make this announcement, but it is necessary. It has been wonderful having her here with us, and we are going to miss that. Virginia Singleton JAMES ISLAND – On Sunday, May 9, 2021, at the age of 68, James Island resident Virginia “Ginny” Singleton passed away peacefully at home, entering into eternal rest. She passed away quietly while she was sleeping.

The general public is invited to attend a viewing that will take place on May 16, 2021, from one to four o’clock in the afternoon at the New Hope Baptist Church in Johns Island, South Carolina, which is located at 661 Hughes Road. The event will take place at the New Hope Baptist Church. On the Monday, May 17, 2021, graveside services are slated to begin at eleven in the morning. They will be held in Live Oak Memorial Gardens in Charleston, South Carolina, which is located close to Highway 6J. She is survived by her husband, James Singleton, her daughters Troy Singleton, Tonya Singleton, and Tikkia (Stephen) Williams, as well as eight grandchildren, one brother, George (Terry) Ford, and one sister, Jennette Smith. In addition, she leaves behind one sister-in-law, Jennette Smith.

Virginia was the only child in the Ford family to be born after all four of her family members had already passed away. The last kid in the family, Virginia was the only girl. She had worked for Dupont for the previous 35 years of her career before deciding to take an early retirement from the company.
